Our daughter was inspired by her grandfather, who loved golf. After he passed away, the game became her passion. Being alongside her has taught me how to support her through its growing pains.
We had a lot to figure out
When we started, junior golf felt confusing. We had questions about equipment, lessons, tournaments and what everything would really cost. Travel and time added up. Registrations filled fast. Sometimes a waitlist meant we simply could not make an event work.
What we want to share
This site is for parents finding their way, especially families just getting started. We want to make it easier to find beginner resources, consider used equipment, plan the full cost and find a welcoming place to play at home or on vacation.
What matters most to us
We talk on the course. We crack jokes. We remind our daughter that one bad shot does not have to ruin the day. Golf is a game, and we want her to keep loving it.
Our family’s experience informs the advice here, but every child and family is different. We share what we’ve learned, identify official resources and leave room for you to make the choice that fits.
