Registrations can fill quickly. We’ve also faced the uncertainty of waiting until event day to hear about a spot. Sometimes we’ve had to skip an event because we could not make the travel work.
Track the opening, not just the event date
Save the registration opening date, time and time zone. Keep the official link alongside any age, membership or eligibility requirements. Being ready does not guarantee a place, but it removes a few avoidable surprises.
Read the waitlist rules
Ask how the organizer contacts you, how quickly you must accept and whether joining a waitlist involves a charge. Do not assume rules are the same from one tour or event to another.
Choose a family decision deadline
Decide how late you can reasonably commit. Consider travel cancellation terms, work and your child’s expectations. Keep an alternative nearby round or practice outing in mind if the spot never opens.
Let missing an event stay manageable
Disappointment is real. We try not to make one missed event feel like the season is ruined. There will be another chance to enjoy the game together.
